Sustainable fat loss works best when it is treated as a strategic phase rather than a permanent identity. The aim is to create a reasonable deficit, preserve training quality, keep protein high, manage hunger intelligently, and make progress at a pace that does not create predictable backlash. A fat-loss phase should eventually give way to maintenance, where the body and mind get time to stabilize before deciding whether another phase is appropriate. The long game is less dramatic than a crash diet, but it gives the result a better chance to survive.
