Muscle gain takes longer than internet culture tends to imply. The basic requirements are not mysterious: productive physical training, enough recovery, sufficient protein, appropriate calories, and patience. Once expectations are realistic, the work becomes easier to evaluate and less emotionally noisy. Process metrics matter here because they often reveal the truth before the mirror does: training quality, progressive overload, bodyweight trends, recovery, appetite, and consistency across months.
